In recognition of Priesthood Sunday, celebrated this year on September 27, Saint Joseph School presented gifts to Father Richard Polek and Father Tony on Friday, September 25. Following a few words of gratitude from Principal Beth Boudreau, Grade 3 students Raina Parslow and Cameron Bergman presented the gifts on behalf of the entire school community.
Priesthood Sunday is a special day set aside to honor the vocation of the priesthood and to express appreciation for the faithful service of our priests. It is also an opportunity to pray for our priests, for an increase in vocations, and for all those who are discerning a call to the priesthood.
Father Richard, our pastor and headmaster, and Father Tony are an important part of the Saint Joseph School family. Through their celebration of the Mass and the sacraments, their prayers, their guidance, and their presence at school events, they help our students grow in faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. Their support strengthens the Catholic identity of our school and reminds our students that faith is at the heart of everything we do.
The students, faculty, staff, and families of Saint Joseph School are deeply grateful for Father Richard and Father Tony and for the many ways they serve our school and parish communities. May God continue to bless them in their priestly ministry.
