The special student award for November 2025 is the Saint Martin de Porres Award.  It was awarded to students During the December recognition and school spirit assembly held on December 16.

Saint Martin was born in Peru and is known for his deep kindness, humility, and love for all people—especially the poor and the sick. He is famous for caring for anyone in need, no matter who they were, and for treating every person with dignity and compassion.

Saint Martin also had a special love for animals and is remembered for his gentle spirit and for performing acts of healing. Many people look up to him as a model of charity, patience, and service.

As students at Saint Joseph School, we can learn from Saint Martin de Porres by choosing kindness every day, helping those who need support, and showing respect to everyone.

The feast day for Saint Martin de Porres is November 3.
