Morning Care Program – Free of Charge
We offer free morning care for the convenience of working parents. Students may be dropped off at 7am and proceed directly to our Extended Care Room where they will be supervised.
After School Care Program
Saint Joseph School offers an After School Program to all students. The program allows the students to remain at school under supervised care until 5:30pm. Our program offers an enjoyable atmosphere with varying activities, including vigorous play, art activities, homework time (see below), and indoor and outdoor games. The children are served a nutritious snack and juice every day. In addition, the students are taken outdoors each day, (even during the winter months, weather permitting) so they should be dressed appropriately. Gloves, hats, and warm jackets are required in order for the children to be able to join their friends on the playground. We ask that parents register students for the After Care Program, but we understand that the days may vary. You are only billed for the care actually used. A registration form may be obtained from the school office. If you need unexpected care for your child, please call the school office or send a note in the morning. Please note that your child will only be released to the individuals authorized by you in writing.
Pick-up Signature
When you pick up your child from the After Care Program, it is mandatory that you write the time of pick-up and place your signature on the sign-out sheet. Your signature serves as proof of the time you resumed responsibility for your child. If there is no signature, it will be assumed that your child was picked up at 5:30pm and your account will be billed accordingly.
School Cancellations/Days Off/Early Dismissal
There is no Morning or After Care on School Cancellation days such as snow days or on the days when the school is not in session. On early dismissal days, After Care will not be provided, so please plan accordingly.
Billing
The rates for ALL students at Saint Joseph School (Pre-K through Grade 8) are $3 for each our of care. The time of pick-up will be recorded in the Headmaster program as indicated below. Billing will be processed on Monday (or Tuesday) of the following week and the fee is due on that Wednesday. Details can be seen on the Parent Portal. If After Care fees are not paid in a timely fashion, it may result in your child not being allowed to attend. You may schedule payments on the portal, however payments are always applied to your oldest outstanding invoice, which may not be the After Care fee.

Late Pick-Up Fee/Insufficient Funds Fee
$1 for every 5 minutes will be billed for late pick-up. A fee of $25 will be added to all returned payments.
Homework Room
Supervised time is provided for students to complete home assignments in a Homework Room on school days. A qualified teacher is responsible for this group of students.
Clubs
If your child attends after school clubs such as Robotics, Math Club, etc., he/she must be picked-up immediately after the club’s dismissal. If your child reports to the After Care Program for any time, your account will be billed accordingly. For example, if the club ends at 3:30, but you pick-up your child at 3:45, your fee will be $3.
