On Wednesday, October 14, Saint Joseph School students and staff practiced evacuating to Park Avenue Elementary School, the designated gathering site in the event of an emergency requiring relocation.
The group completed the 17-minute walk to Park Avenue Elementary, where staff accounted for all students in just two minutes. They then made the 17-minute walk back to school. The drill gave students and staff an opportunity to practice the route and review important safety procedures.
Saint Joseph School extends its sincere gratitude to the Webster Police Department, including Daniel Mehlhouse; the Webster Fire Department, including Chief Jeffrey Saad; and Webster EMS. We also thank Webster Public Schools Superintendent Monique Pierangeli and the staff at Park Avenue Elementary School for their assistance and support.
